Digital Radiography

The Animal Hospital of Orleans has the latest Direct-to-Digital X-Ray machine. Our radiographs are digitally captured ensuring the sharpest, most accurate image possible. Digital images allows us to view, lighten, darken, rotate and computer enhance the X-rays to aid in making a diagnosis.

Digital imaging also allows your pet’s X-rays to be electronically transmitted to a Board Certified Radiologist or other specialist for a “stat” consult if necessary. They can also be loaded on a CD for you.

Digital X-Ray also takes far less radiation to produce an image compared to older film systems – making them safer for our staff. There are also no chemical developers required – making them safer for the Earth.
