Emergency Care:
At the Animal Hospital of Orleans, we have veterinarians and trained support staff available five days a week to assist with urgent and emergency medical needs. Our team is equipped and prepared to respond quickly when your pet requires immediate care.
In an emergency, a coordinated team—typically a veterinarian and multiple technicians—works together to provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment focused on your pet’s safety and comfort.
Emergency situations may include, but are not limited to:
- Trauma (such as being hit by a car)
- Poison ingestion
- Difficulty breathing
- Sudden collapse or weakness
- Seizures
- Severe vomiting or diarrhea
- Acute pain or distress
- Rapid changes in behavior or condition
If you believe your pet is experiencing an emergency, please call the hospital immediately at 508 255-1194. When possible, calling ahead allows our team to prepare for your arrival and provide guidance specific to your situation.
